Getting Started

Download the Archive

Click the download button above to get the latest version of LockMargin for your platform.

Extract All

Right-click the downloaded .zip file and select "Extract All", or use your preferred archive tool. No admin rights required.

Run LockMargin.exe

Open the extracted folder and double-click LockMargin.exe. The app opens to an empty database — no installation needed.

Start Working

Use the Command Palette (Ctrl+K / Cmd+K) to navigate. Create your first client, project, or invoice instantly.

First Launch

LockMargin opens to a clean database. Create your first client via Command Palette (Cmd+K → "New Client") or the sidebar navigation.

Import Data

Use the CSV import feature to bulk-load clients, projects, and invoices. Export anytime for backup or reporting.

Set Up Recurring

Define recurring invoices and expenses. The reactive engine handles due dates automatically — no cron jobs or manual triggers needed.

Enable Encryption

Go to Settings → Security to enable AES-256-GCM field-level encryption. Keys are stored in your system keychain.
